Job Description

Commercial Order Entry SpecialistROLE: As a member of the Order Entry / Engineering team in our Edmonton, AB Office, this role will meet our customers #39; needs through accurate, detailed and thorough Order Entry. The role will also meet the needs of our Production team through accuracy, scheduling awareness, code compliance and continued training in commercial door requirements and opportunities. As a part of the overall Sales team at Lynden Door, this role will help to build valuable and lasting relationships with our customers.HOURS: Monday-Friday day hours (40 hours/week)RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Become trained in the Lynden products and the Commercial Wood Door Industry.
  • Train in the use of VAI (ERP system) and related systems for new order entry and changes to open orders.
  • Engage with our customers as part of ensuring accuracy and relevant information, positively addressing inquiries and concerns.
  • Be a part of the overall Order Entry team to ensure prompt responses to order and general inquiry needs.
  • Understand door construction requirements.
  • Understand fire code and how it applies to that specific door opening requirement.
  • Understand warranty and how it applies to that specific door opening application.
  • Understand hardware and door frame details and enter information into Machine Automation Software.

CORE SKILLSamp; QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong organization skills - ability to productively work on multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of Commercial Door Industry, Products and Services preferred.
  • Creative and solution oriented problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with customers even in tense or aggressive situations.
  • Customer Service oriented/attention to accuracy, detail, quality and service.
  • Experience with Office Systems, Business Machines and Computers.
  • Working knowledge of spread sheets for estimating, costing, analysis preferred.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Related college degree preferred
