Job Description

As a Millwright Journeyman you will play a key role in contributing to the continued success of Silver Hills Bakery whose mission is to inspire individuals to live a healthy lifestyle. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic production work environment and will have the opportunity to learn new skills and work in a team setting. In this role, you are responsible for completing the duties listed below as well as other duties as assigned by your manager or their designate.Requirements

  • Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctions
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices, such as cranes, jacks and tractors, to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up, and repair of machinery
  • Install, align, take apart and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools
  • Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
  • Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls
  • Operate machine tools, such as lathes and grinders, to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery
  • Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation by using hand and power tools and welding equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

Hourly rate - $42.00/hourAfternoon Shift Premium - Additional $2.00/hourNight Shift Premium - Additional $6.00/hour
