Moose Jaw Co-op is hiring a Business Agronomist within our Agriculture Division located in Avonlea, SKWho we are: Co-op does business differently. To learn more about who we are and how you can help bring our brand to life, visit us at www.moosejawcoop.com.What you will do: Reporting to the Crop Inputs Manager, the Business Agronomist demonstrates day-to-day behaviors and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-op’s values, mission, and vision. The Business Agronomist will be responsible for providing sales-related support, services, and knowledge of agronomic products to customers. Regular and ongoing, direct contact with customers and the delivery of high-quality service is vital to this role. Other duties will include understanding and anticipating short and long-term customer needs and performing crop inputs purchasing, inventory control, and forecasting accordingly to maximize rebates. The position is responsible for supporting the Agriculture Division in achieving operating budgets and goals as it relates to the pricing, sales margins, expenses, and inventory of the commodity for existing customers and expanding sales to new customers.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: · Intuitive understanding of farm business management· Strong agricultural background in sales, accounts management, agronomy· Sound knowledge of new technology developments in the industry· Ability to manage regional territory objectives and responsibilities· Mentoring and leadership· Strong organizational skills· Accountable for detail and accuracy· Capable of attaining high levels of production with minimum supervision· Communicate effectively and professionally with members and customers· Ability to contribute to a team· Customer Service orientatedWhy it matters: Our team provides a range of products and services to support our member-owners. Professional certifications would be considered an asset (P. Ag., CCA, CCSC, 4R). You have 3-6 years of experience in agriculture retail, fertility, and crop inputs, and you possess a positive, ambitious attitude, with excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal talents.
