Job Description

Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Belledune, New Brunswick When you join our team as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for the productive and economical maintenance of mobile equipment across the site. Working with a diversified team at the sawmill, you will identify and troubleshoot any issues on a variety of different equipment and carry out remedying solutions.This position offers $22.48 to $29.22 per hour (depending on certification). This position is for the night shift, which runs 4 nights a week (Monday to Thursday), from 8:45PM to 7:00AM.What You’ll Do

  • Perform inspections and repairs.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues.
  • Reading blueprint and sketches.
  • Responding to requests.
  • Committing to and always promoting the use of safe practices.
  • Training and developing apprentice(s).
What You Offer
  • Heavy Equipment Mechanic course.
  • 5+ year of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
  • Industrial experience.
  • Attention to detail and security.
  • A commitment to urgency.
  • Bilingual (a strong asset).
  • Excellent safety record holding safety as a value and strong work ethic.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required.
  • Must have the ability to work without supervision.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
