Job Description

Our client, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a friendly and efficient Medical Clinic Receptionist to join their team. As a Medical Clinic Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are organized, detail-oriented, and have a passion for assisting patients in a medical setting. Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a warm and welcoming manner
  • Register patients, update demographic information, and verify insurance coverage
  • Schedule appointments and manage the clinic #39;s appointment calendar
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate staff
  • Collect co-pays and process payments
  • Ensure patient documentation is accurate and complete
  • Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers when necessary
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry
  • Adhere to and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide excellent patient care
Requirements
  • Prior experience working as a receptionist in a medical clinic or healthcare setting preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) software
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to handle a high volume of phone calls and patient inquiries
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with office equipment
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in patient documentation and appointment scheduling
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
