The ministry has overall responsibility for the development of a coherent, accessible, and culturally safe mental health and addictions system that is effective for individuals and families across the lifespan throughout the province. The Provincial Support Office is responsible for the operational implementation and delivery of Integrated Child and Youth Teams, a new and innovative model of community-based mental health and substance use services to young people and their families in British Columbia.The District Program Developer #39;s role is to develop programs of strategic importance to the ministry from concept, to implementation and evaluation.Job Requirements:

  • Master #39;s degree in business or public administration, or health sciences, social sciences, or related field and a minimum 2 years of related experience*; OR
  • Degree in business or public administration, or health sciences, social sciences, or related field and a minimum 3 years of related experience; OR
  • Diploma in business or public administration, or health sciences, social sciences, or related field and a minimum 4 years of related experience*; AND
*Related experience must include:
  • Conducting research, policy development, performance reviews and/or financial/economic analysis.
  • Experience managing collaborative processes with partners (within government, other levels of government, private sector, and/or outside organizations) to obtain input in the development or implementation of policies or programs.
  • Leading and facilitating project teams and working with multiple partners to deliver a product, program or service.
Preference may be given to applicants:
  • With experience developing or leading change management processes.
  • With experience with innovation methods, including but not limited to facilitation.
  • With experience working collaboratively with Indigenous peoples.
  • With experience working in Social sector initiatives.
  • Who self-identify as First Nations, Métis or Inuit with the required combination of education and experience.

  • Will be required to travel.
  • Must have a valid B.C. driver #39;s license.
  • Use of a personal vehicle for travel may be required.
