Position Title:QC GraderPosition Type: Regular - Full-TimeRequisition ID: 11326Position Title: QC GraderPosition Type: Regular – Full TimeRequisition ID: 11326Reports to: QC ManagerSummary of Position:Perform a series of tests (safely) on the sample productOperate all relevant equipment in QC lab (lab fryer, length classifier,salt analyzer, etc)Using specification provided by the customer, grade the final product based on test resultsEssential Duties / Responsibilities:Comply with all McCain QC procedures, safety policies and regulationsCollect product samples from the packaging line every ½ hourPerform a series of tests on the sample product, operating all relevant equipment in QC lab (lab fryer, length classifier, salt analyzer, etc.)Using specifications provided by the customer, grade the final product based on test resultsMust learn how to use SAP, WMS, Crystal Reports, and SPC softwareComplete the required documentationCommunicate test results to resolve quality issues with Supervision and Operators on a regular basisConduct metal detector and x-ray verificationsSet up case code and loma requirementPerforms other duties as assignedRequired Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Competencies)High School graduate or Grade 12 GEDPrevious Quality Control experience is a definite assetAbility to work on a rotating shift basisPhysically capable of performing all required duties (lifting up to 42 lbs)Familiar with the safe handling of chemicals in accordance with WHMIS and McCain PoliciesMust attend yearly internal sensory trainingMust have strong computer, mathematic, and organizational skillsMust have strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructionsMust maintain good working relationship with supervision and coworkersMust have safe work habitsPhysical RequirementsPhysically capable of performing all required dutiesMcCain Foods is an equal opportunity employer.
