The Care Group (“TCG”) offers high-quality residential care services to complex care clients in 8 homes throughout the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island.At The Care Group, we believe our residents deserve excellence in care and we strive to achieve this by working as a team towards our common goal - a happy and healthy resident.THE OPPORTUNITYWe are looking for Handyman/Woman Maintenance Worker to join our The Madison and Lakeshore team in Coquitlam, B.C.Shifts: Mon-Fri, 7.5 hours (3 days at The Madison 2 days at Lakeshore both facilities 2 min walk from each other)QUALIFICATIONS:1. Experience in building or facility maintenance.2. Knowledge of and capability to complete tasks relating to general painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and gardening.3. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.4. COVID-19 Vaccine Passport.SKILLS AND ABILITIES:- ability to maintain a checklist record of maintenance routines- ability to communicate professionally with residents, staff, and visitors-ability to lift up to 50lbs, move furniture, pick up deliveries from hardware stores-must be physically fit, adaptable, and is an effective team memberDuties:- Inspects operating condition of all equipment daily.- Inspects alarm, call, and security systems and logs information daily.- Diagnoses equipment malfunctions- Ensures the safety of the building, equipment, staff, and residents.- Complete general repairs to electrical, plumbing, and other building components commensurate with the capabilities of an experienced maintenance trade personAbout us: The Madison Care Centre offers licensed and funded residential care to 137 clients The building was beautifully constructed and opened in 2008.
