Job Description

As a Truck and Pup Class 1 at Wilco Contractors Northwest Inc, you will be responsible for hauling materials to and from job sites. You will work closely with our team of skilled professionals to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment using safe driving practices. This is a seasonal position, Monday through Saturday, Local to the Edmonton and area.Wilco Contractors Northwest Inc. Wilco is a leader in delivering complex projects to its clients.Responsibilities

  • Haul aggregates to various work sites in Edmonton and the surrounding area in a timely and safe manner
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules for efficient and timely deliveries
  • Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and maintenance checks
  • Maintain accurate logs of materials and deliveries
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently, including the use of various types of trailers
  • Follow all traffic regulations and company driving policies and procedures
  • Ensure proper securing of all loads prior to transport
  • Communicate effectively with team members, superiors, and clients
Requirements
  • Must possess a Class 1 driver #39;s license
  • Minimum 1 year experience in truck and pup operations
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and procedures related to driving and equipment operation
  • Safety-oriented mindset with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to perform routine equipment maintenance
  • Tech savvy, comfortable using an iPhone or android (app) Nektar
  • Experience Loading and Hauling Equipment is an asset
