Position Title: Information Security AnalystPosition Type: Regular - Full-TimePosition Location: Florenceville GTC or Toronto HQRequisition ID: 13125Reporting to the Manager of Information Security, the Information Security Analyst for Cloud Security will act as a subject matter expert, you will be instrumental in expanding the Cloud Security program and will work closely with internal business units and vendors alike to safeguard infrastructure, applications, and workflows.You will participate in the maintenance and monitoring of cloud security controls, strategies, and standards. You will also contribute to the development of the information security program and the integration of cloud security, vulnerability and risk management, monitoring, and incident response with existing program areas. You are able to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, with the ability to be nimble, multi-task, and problem solve. You take initiative, excel at strategic planning, and can handle multiple initiatives in parallel.The successful candidate will be a strong team player in our collaborative environment. • Be a subject matter expert to deliver projects from initiation through to successful implementation
• Work with various business units throughout project lifecycles to ensure cloud-based deployments meet security requirements
• Integrate cloud platforms with existing information security services and solutions (Risk Assessment, SIEM, and testing)
• Develop requirements for logging, alerting, and auditing configurations for integration with 24/7 monitoring (SOC)
• Review native cloud platform security configurations and tune based on best practices
• Provide support and guidance on cloud security events, alarms, and incidents

Specific Skills & Knowledge:

• Understanding of information security principles, and industry standards such as NIST, ISO and SANS.
• Able to identify processes/procedures for how to handle a cloud security event, including forensic isolation and mitigation with Incident Response teams
• Working knowledge in incident / problem management as well as threat detection & response
• Good communications skills, ability to map business needs to security solutions and helping non-technical audiences understand the benefits of these solutions
• Work with third party services required to execute cloud security capabilities
• Actively participate in Information Security Incident investigation as required.
• Deliver results independently with minimal guidance
• Provide high quality, relevant reporting metrics on all findings

Education and Experience:

• A strong understanding of and demonstrable work experience in securing cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) is required
• Current industry standard security certification (CISSP, CISM, CISA, GCIS, Microsoft) is required
• Post-secondary degree (computer sciences and/or engineering) is highly desirable
• Mature understanding of information security “best practices” including principles, security protocols and standards material such as OWASP Top 10 and SANS Critical Security Controls
• Broad knowledge across all areas of the Cloud Security domain including Cloud Computing (IaaS, PaaS, AWS, Azure etc.) data center, data storage technologies, virtualization, server platforms (Unix/Linux, Windows, AS400), desktop, mobility solutions, monitoring/management, data protection, high availability/clustering, network (WAN/LAN/WLAN etc.), Perimeter security (Firewall, IDS/IPS, VPN etc.)
• Experience working with an outsourced environment and managing services to objectives and outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to be seen and respected as a subject matter expert in your field
• Strong oral and written English skills are mandatory for this position
