  • Minimum 3+ years of paid professional tax preparation experience using professional tax preparation software
  • Experience preparing a minimum of 125 tax returns per tax season for the last 3 years
  • Ability to handle various types of tax returns for individuals, including students, pensioners, self-employed individuals, rental property owners, investors, and those with foreign income
  • Experience preparing and filing customer personal returns, including employment income, self-employment income, rental income, investments, foreign income, and all applicable credits/deductions
  • Familiarity with tax laws and concepts, strong critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable with Windows, mobile platforms, and G-suite applications (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible availability/schedule
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and French, reading/writing/speaking) is an asset
  • Experience preparing Quebec tax returns (TP1) is an asset
  • Experience providing support in a contact center environment is an asset
Responsibilities
  • Provide remote tax guidance for personal tax returns in a customer-facing role
  • Collaborate with customers to prepare or review their tax returns, ensuring compliance and accuracy
  • Research and troubleshoot tax questions, answering specific tax inquiries from customers
  • Assist customers in filing their tax returns with the CRA or provide guidance for customers preparing their own returns
  • Research tax regulations to provide accurate advice that maximizes customers #39; tax returns
  • Create positive customer interactions using empathy and your tax knowledge
  • Proactively seek and provide accurate answers to customer inquiries using various resources
  • Apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to resolve customer inquiries
Intuit offers a competitive compensation package with a pay-for-performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is $25.50 - $34.50 per hour. Eligible for cash bonuses as per our applicable plans and programs. Pay is based on job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
