Job Description

Journey Freight is a third party logistics company with a multitude of offices and agents across the globe. With over 20 years of experience, Journey Freight has expanded globally and continues to do so.Journey Freight International has an exciting opportunity available at their head office in Kirkland, QC. The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and excel at multi-tasking, organizing and problem solving.POSITION: Accounts Payable Specialist - Monday-Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pmLOCATION: Kirkland, QCSTART DATE: Term commences as soon as possibleResponsibilities:

  • Answer all AP calls and handle AP emails (rate confirmations, payment updates, confirmation of receipt of invoices etc)
  • Verify and enter invoices from month end reports of various online systems
  • Request and enter bank information for carrier set up
  • Voucher international loads paid by wire with correct exchange rate
  • Voucher credit card payments
  • Other tasks as assigned by AP Manager
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Accounting
  • 4-5 years experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of computers (Microsoft Office Excel, Word)
  • Comfortable with handling large volume of transactions
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized and have a strong work ethic
  • Comfortable with technology and working with ERP systems online
