Job Description

PROJECT COORDINATOR, DESIGN-BUILD SAJO is a leading general contractor and project management firm specializing in interior retail construction. SAJO is also a full-service retail fixture resource firm that supplies value engineering, prototyping, manufacturing, and rollout management internationally.SAJO is in search of dynamic individuals for the position of PROJECT COORDINATOR, DESIGN BUILD Responsibilities:

  • Provide insight into the constructability of projects and propose cost-effective solutions and variations on design and materials.
  • Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Assist in managing the bid process, review, and prepare bid documents.
  • Evaluate tenders when received and prepare cost breakdowns.
  • Negotiate/award contracts with respective vendors.
  • Coordinate all members of the project establish production schedules and revise schedules to reflect changes, backlogs, or delays.
  • Assist in managing budget compliance and in processing all financial aspects of the project (e.g., contracts, purchase orders, billing inquiries, change orders, invoices, payments, etc.)
  • Monitor work progress to assess compliance with quality standards and ensure constant communication with internal and external stakeholders on project progression.
  • Analyze shop drawings and data sheets to determine requests for information (RFI), update and load drawings into Procore.
  • Coordinate production and shipping activities and ensure that schedules are respected by tracking the reception of components produced, received, and shipped.
  • Prepare and document production, purchase orders, vendor quotes, packing slips, transportation, schedules, delays, changes, and other information related to the project.
  • Assist in unit handover, job closing, and post-mortem.
Qualifications:
  • BAC or DEC in engineering, architecture, interior design, construction technology, or any related education
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Professional working proficiency in both English and French (spoken and written)
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Procore (Project Management Software), and Bluebeam software is considered an asset
  • Excellent communication, planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Must be flexible, client-centered, proactive and solution-oriented
