We strive to offer a supportive, inclusive and nurturing environment that helps our employees expand their careers and reach their highest potential.Summary:As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will be involved in the planning and coordination of the manufacturing and delivery of leading-edge satellite communications solutions for military, government, and high-end commercial applications within all of our Business Groups, including all aspects related to resource management, raw material ordering, forecast planning, and inventory control.What You’ll Do:

  • Optimize inventory level by using a combination of historical trending tools and future forecasting;
  • Manage supply chain to ensure the most cost-effective means of shipping goods while balancing tight schedules;
  • Manage inventory transactions to ensure an accurate accounting of inventory (cycle, quarter and year-end counts);
  • Create manufacturing orders (MO) to initiate internal product modifications to satisfy special orders in the microwave (MW) business;
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and contribute to the development of improved business processes, including time and cost reduction measures;
  • Maintain a safe working environment in the warehouse area; and
  • Other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Formal training in Production Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management and/or Logistics Management an asset;
  • 5+ years of experience working in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management for a multi-million dollar corporation;
  • Experienced in the handling creating and preparation of shipping documents for international/domestic shipping;
  • Knowledgeable of secure tariff rulings with Canada Customs and Revenue Agency;
  • Experience using an ERP/MRP system in a manufacturing environment, preferably Microsoft Dynamics NAV;
  • Excellent MS Office computer skills - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Power BI
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong team player with excellent problem and conflict solving skills; resourceful and proactive
  • Commitment to product quality and delivery deadlines based on cost and time constraints
  • Able to train and learn from others
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, positive working attitude
  • An adaptable personality to integrate with a diverse group of people; good negotiator
  • Exemplary organization and time management skills; excellent multitasking ability

The following will be considered assets:
  • Understanding of the "Lean" principles of manufacturing
  • Experience with RF electronics and understanding of related specifications
  • Ability to communicate and provide support to the sales team and customers
  • Ability to work professionally with outside service providers
  • Ability to arrange freight shipments and arrange for complex overseas shipments
  • Proficient with the setup and use of ERP/MRP systems, including an ability to intelligently contribute to the enhancement of same
  • Experience working in all aspects of Operations, from Purchasing and Logistics through Production and QA
  • Experience in vendor management and price negotiation an asset.
