The role entails managing all facets of direct material and service procurement, acting as the key liaison between our internal teams and the market for routine operations. The candidate will ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards within the supply chain.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:● Manage the supply chain, upholding health, safety, and environmental standards. ● Support the Inventory Analyst in maintaining material stock levels. ● Issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) for inventory and direct orders. ● Order consumables and reagents for the Mill. ● Provide assistance during Mill Shutdowns. ● Work with the inventory analyst and warehouse team to verify order fulfillment. ● Source materials and services, ensuring timely delivery. ● Daily management of Purchase Orders and order expediting. ● Coordinate daily site-wide deliveries. ● Oversee customs clearance for international orders. ● Participate in contract creation. ● Collaborate with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice issues. ● Uphold and implement the company #39;s purchasing policies and procedures.QUALIFICATIONS:● Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline. ● 3 - 5 years of experience in a comparable role, preferably in mining or an industrial setting. ● Comprehensive understanding of procure-to-pay supply management. ● Proficiency with business computer systems, including ERPs (covering purchasing, expediting, warehousing, transportation, and inventory control). ● Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. ● Demonstrated ability to forge trust-based relationships with internal and external partners.Candidates must be willing to live near or relocate to the site, located about 100 kilometers from Saguenay, Quebec, and work a 5 days on / 2 days off rotation.Interested candidates meeting the above qualifications should apply directly to this posting.
