Job Description

We’re looking for a Junior Accounts Receivable Clerk in our Accounting department. If you are passionate, self-motivated and would like to work for a dynamic and leading company in the promotional items industry, we want to meet you!Summary:Reporting to the Supervisor of A/P & A/R, this position is responsible for performing a range of Accounts Receivable functions. This includes but is not limited to timely and accurate recording of payments from a variety of sources. This person will interact with customers regarding payments, insufficient funds (NSF checks), etc. As well as, responding to customer inquiries for deposit refunds and applying refunds back to a customer’s account. This is done within the Spector culture and a clear understanding of what we represent as a company.Tasks:

  • Collect account receivables and maintain accurate client statements and aging reports.
  • Organize and reconcile disputed invoice claims and queries.
  • Coordinate the follow-up procedures on delinquent accounts.
  • Research, prepare and process credit accounts.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance and reconciliation for the aging on assigned clients.
  • Make sure that any statements or reports are sent to clients as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of customers to confirm payments of past dues and unresolved issues.
  • Resolve issues with payment differences in a timely manner as set by the Dept. supervisor.
  • Participate in the collection process for all assigned clients using emails and phone calls.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with the Dept. supervisor to review collection efforts and adjust as needed for maximum collection results.
  • Process all customer inquiries and requests including call/fax follow-ups.
  • Assists in special projects as needed.
  • Performs other tasks in his/her area of expertise.
Requirements:
  • Min. 1-2 years relevant office experience.
  • Fluid in English and French.
  • Solid computer skills using Microsoft Office.
  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Analytical with good problem-solving abilities.
  • You must love what you do!
