What you #39;ll do:Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Asset Protection Advisor works closely with all Co-op employees and facility/department managers to administer and facilitate the Asset Protection program, in order to protect the Co-op #39;s assets and improve profitability.Some main duties of the job include:
  • Live our brand,quot;You #39;re at Home Here quot; by presenting a positive, collaborative, and professional image of the organization to all customers, visitors, suppliers, and team members.
  • Exemplify our company values: People, Integrity, Excellence, and Responsibility.
  • Be actively involved in all areas of internal and external losses. Complete reports on, and conduct investigations for, internal and external fraud, theft, and other criminal offences.
  • Identify operational deficiencies as they relate to Asset Protection and apply effective solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Control inventory shortages and reduce/eliminate shrink throughout the Co-op.
  • Monitor all maintenance checklists to ensure adherence and completion.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies, incidents, and urgent issues as they arise.
  • Identify operational deficiencies as they relate to Asset Protection and apply effective solutions to mitigate risks.

  • You have a minimum of 2 years relevant or related experience.
  • You have great organizational and time management skills.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You have exceptional interpersonal skills in dealing with employees and customers.
  • Loss Prevention Designation (CPP, CFI, CFE, LPQ or LPC) considered an asset.
  • Retail experience is an asset.
