Job Description

S3 Group Ltd. is currently recruiting for a Operations Manager to join our team at our location in Swift Current, SK. This is a full-time position starting immediately.Since 1966, our company has been designing and building specialized equipment, products, and custom components for end-users and other manufacturers around the world. Ideally you will have a strong background in manufacturing management and a proven track record of driving operational excellence, employee engagement, and continuous improvement. This role will require hands-on leadership and the ability to adapt to the unique challenges and opportunities within this environment.Tasks and Duties:Through the team he/she develops around them, the Operations Manager is responsible for executing our corporate values of integrity, character, and honour, believing that joy is the satisfaction experienced throughout all circumstances when our behavior is consistent with our values. Responsibilities include:

    • Supervise staff
    • Provide support to the General Manager
    • Purchasing:
      • Monitor raw material requirements as required
      • Obtain quotes as required
      • Generate respective purchase orders
      • Develop consolidated bid packages to leverage pricing
      • Ensure suppliers are maintaining a timely deliveries as promised and
      • Maintain and develop new supplier relationships
    • Inventory Management:
      • Analyze, maintain and adjust ROP #39;s and ROQ #39;s for all inventory categories based on buying volumes and cyclic business trends or change in business activities
      • Monitor inventory related KPI #39;s
    • Cost Estimating:
      • Maintaining and or revise costing standards
      • Create quotes for sales department
    • Oversee all warehouse employees and activities for precision, timeliness, scheduling and safety
    • Oversee the Safety program and be on the OH amp;S committee
    • Oversee administrative employees and activities
    • Oversee manufacturing engineer / technician
    • Support month-endamp; year-end activities
    • Develop weekly Production Schedule
    • Assist with general office demands other tasks as assigned
    • Monitor key performance indicators
    • Creation of various forms/spreadsheets, and/or revising existing forms/spreadsheets
    • Ensure all tasks are performed with the highest regard for safety, as outlined in our Safety Manual
Experienceamp; Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years #39; experience in a similar role
  • Training in marketing, business administration, accounting, or education in related field
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects concurrently
  • Experience working with a diverse group of internal and external teams and partners
  • Commitment and ability to manage multiple project deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to organize information and communicate or store it so it is useful to others
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Initiative in problem solving
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Capable of adapting to and learning new software applications
  • Solid math skills
  • Positive and co-operative team player
  • Capable of working with minimal supervision
