Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a qualified Field Specialist - RSSOM to join our infrastructure team, based out of Toronto, ON. The Field Specialist will be responsible for monitoring the technical requirements and progress of the work as well as verifying quantities. Performs construction engineering assignments of a varied nature requiring a full working knowledge of construction engineering practices. Exercises professional judgment within the framework of broad guidelines provided by superiors. May have responsibility to provide direction to less experienced construction engineers, or construction office technical or clerical personnel and have the opportunity to work on the Ontario Line Subway Project. The project scope includes the design build, operations and maintenance of all infrastructure and rail systems associated with 15 stations and over 15km of new alignment. The Rolling Stock, Systems and O amp;M scope covers the entirety of the Ontario Line and includes four major areas: vehicles, guideway and station systems fit out, traction power and station power, as well as the track and the Operations Maintenance and Storage (OMSF) facility. The scope is unique as it extends beyond the construction phase to cover 30 years of the operations and maintenance of the line. This scope is being delivered through a P3 contract.
