Financial Analyst On behalf of our client in the Public Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Financial Analyst. Financial Analyst – Job Description

Reports and monitors Distribution Revenue against Budget/Prior periods to assess risks and ensures adequate controls are in place related to Distribution Revenue process
Provides reliable financial information, analysis and operational support related to electricity regulatory filings, tax provision reporting requirements and other internal management reporting requirements
Collects, analyzes and reviews received data to ensure accuracy and reasonability and work collaboratively to resolve any issues
Develops, sustains and monitors relevant controls to ensure accuracy and timeliness
Assists and coordinates in the Annual rate filing application and in Other ad hoc reporting to the Ontario Energy Board (OEB), Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO), Statistics Canada etc.
Ensures Risk Management and Internal Controls, including assessment and monitoring whether internal controls in place are adequately designed and operating effectively
Anticipates, understands, and responds to the needs of the internal and external clients (including operational units) related to financial and operational activities as required to meet organizational goals

Financial Analyst – Mandatory Skills

Bachelor #39;s degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration or related fields
3-5 years of progressive experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting
Pursuing CPA designation in Ontario
Assists in the regulatory and revenue notes preparation for quarterly and annual financial reporting process and other ad hoc tasks as assigned
Prepares, compiles and analyses information to facilitate the preparation for Reporting and Record Keeping Requirements (RRR), annual budget, and periodic forecasts
Assists and coordinates in the Annual rate filing application and in Other ad hoc reporting to the Ontario Energy Board (OEB), Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO), Statistics Canada etc.
