Job Description

Overview:Social Media Specialist, HCG Engagement GroupOverviewSitting within the digital team the Social Media Specialist collaborates with the Digital Strategy team, account teams and clients to implement and execute social media strategies and social /digital campaigns for a primarily HCP audience.They work across accounts, providing support across all aspects of social media use and research, with an understanding of where it fits in the mix and how best to apply it. They will assist the team with social listening, audience insights research, content planning and platform use, influencer identification, validation and profiling, outreach and activation, as well as executing paid social media campaigns. They assist with research and insight mining, pulling data from multiple sources, including but not limited to user research, preferences reports and proprietary data sources, to prepare reports which help guide communication strategies. The Social Media Specialist also supports the Digital Strategy and Customer Experience teams with coordination, project support and tracking.Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and execute social listening searches, prepare dashboards and export and summarize findings into clear reports
  • Make recommendations on applications of social listening and implications for social planning and HCP communications
  • Assist with influencer identification, profiling, and activation, using available tools and resources, along with desk research and prepare reports summarizing findings
  • Assist with other audience and landscape research, including user research to support UX design, persona development and reports summarizing HCP audience preferences, beliefs and behaviors
  • When required, present findings, reports and suggestions to internal account teams and clients
  • Provide planning, support for congress monitoring and community engagement
  • Spot opportunities to use engage HCPs and monitor trends and new developments for both clients and the agency
  • Support with new business initiatives, including coordination, research, and collation of content
  • Support creation of social media project plans, SOWs, timelines and estimates
  • Undertake tasks outside of the specifics of the job description where business reasons require it
  • Provide coordination and general project support to the Digital Strategy and Customer Experience teams, including project tracking, and ad hoc requests
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Excellent understanding of digital, PR and social marketing
  • 2-3 years’ experience working within pharma, healthcare or medical communications roles, including some client facing experience
  • Experience using and running social platforms and communicating best practices
  • Digital marketing/social media experience within corporate communications or agency environments
  • Strong organizational, time management skills with an excellent attention to detail
  • Attention to detail and consistent delivery of a high standard of work
  • Comfortable communicating social to all levels of knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal, problem solving, and service skills
  • Experience with one of more major social media management tools, listening and measurement platforms and familiar with enterprise social media technology
