Job Description

Planning and Community Development Officer II or IThe City of Martensville has an opening for a Permanent Full-Time Planning and Community Development Officer II. If no qualified or suitable applicant is found at Level II, applicants at Level I will be considered. The position involves the following:

  • processing development and building permits
  • building information abstracts and property information disclosures
  • subdivisions
  • discretionary uses and minor variances
  • planning bylaw amendments
  • public inquiries, and
  • assisting in other planning duties.
Applicants for Level II require, at minimum, a Degree in Regionalamp; Urban Planning or equivalent and have attained their RPP.Applicants for Level 1 require, at minimum, a Degree in Regionalamp; Urban Planning or equivalent.All applicants are subject to a criminal record check.Experience in a municipal environment would be a definite asset.
